Rudy has always been anxious and reactive. He came to me from a shelter at age 4 months, which I believe contributed to his conditions. I did puppy class with him and another obedience class to boost...
I was looking at Advantix also. DOgs are on Nexgard, but it bothers me that tick dies only after biting. I'd prefer some preventive to keep them off in the 1st place. Frontline Plus does not work...
Hmmmm. Rudy goes in a crate, and I worry about him catching the collar on the wire....
Question about the collar. Can it put on for walks on trails and in the woods, then taken off while in the house? Or does it need to be left on 24/7 once it is put on? I take dog collars off when at...
That also applies to humans!
Soooooo......Annie’s tooth is just fine, as it is just some stain on that area. Someone overreacted, I was a dental hygienist for 10 years :image023: Vet said majority of people have no clue a tooth...
Mine have always done well on Purina ProPlan Sport 30/20. Chicken is 1st ingredient. I switch occasionally to the Salmon and Rice.
She still eats, chews, no signs or SXs of pain or abscess. I have a vet appt for her tomorrow morning.

Annie has a slab fracture of her left carnassial tooth. Not sure how long it’s been fractured. I can’t post picture from my phone. Is an urgent vet visit needed for this?
I read this entire post, how heartbreaking. I am so very sorry.
I ended up just getting all the meds from my vet. Easier, no hassle, no worries, can "take back" if there are issues. Some things are just not worth the time vs. money battle.
I have read that the meds purchased online or at stores is somehow "different", not as effective, etc. as the meds carried at the vet's office. I'd like to hear opinions on this, and if anyone has...
OK thanks I will look that up.
Rudy is also on synthroid, do I need to call vet to see if there are any interactions?
OK thanks I will look that up.
Rudy has had anxiety and worry issues since I got him at age 4 mos. He is now almost 6 yrs old. I worked w/ a trained to increase his self confidence 3-4 yrs ago and he seemed better. He has always...
Why do you rotate through those 3 foods?
That is not an easy loss to swallow, Bruce being so young. I am sorry.
Path report finally came back, vet called while I was in S. Carolina. It showed as ringworm, fungal infection! Which is why the ABX did not help, and the pred only knocked down the inflammation on...
Thank you everyone, for best wishes and suggestions. Biopsy was done on Wednesday, results should be back in 3-7 days. Folliculitis was another differential DX in the pemphigus info I was looking at....
3619there I did it!!!!
I looked at the link. It kind of looks like that, but it is not on the nose tissue at all. It is right above, on the hair (which is now gone) and borders the nose tissue. Yes I have pics but am...
Has anyone here dealt with Pemphigus foliaceus? This all started on Oct 19 w/ Annie, my 16 mo old Black Lab. It began as a crusty lesion on her snout, just above her nose, and blew up practically...
Update!!! XR was done, no blockage (I pretty much knew that since he was pooping). The blood test came back w/ low thyroid. We sent blood to MSU for a full thyroid workup. T3 & T4 were VERY low, and...
