Thank you thank you to our Secret Santa Paws!!

I was a very mean mommy and held back Thor and Barley's secret santa gifts until Christmas Morning. But oh boy did they have fun! Thank you so much Molly and Samson and Asher for making Christmas morning so entertaining!

Thor inspects the pile of goodies. There are boxes from Secret Santas and grandpawrents, as well as a mystery box from Chewy that had no info about who sent it.

We opened the Chewy box first, and still couldn't figure out who it was from. We finally figured out it was from their grandpawrents. It had two squeaky stuffies in it, and of course both boys wanted the same one at the same time.

Next we opened Barley's presents from Molly! Thor showed Barley how to rip apart wrapping paper while barley continued to chew on the stuffy.

A skill which Barley promptly used to unwrap another present. I'm pretty sure he didn't care about what was inside the paper, he wanted to eat the paper.

Of course once he discovered what was inside (Nylabone!!! Yum yum yum!) he was more interested in that. I did find some wrapping paper in his mouth a little while later.

They also loved their little stockings! Barley was definitely picking up on this Christmas thing, sniffing everything for more treats and toys.

    (next up: thor's gifts!)

The first item that Thor opened was a brand new safety vest! And a matching one for Barley! These are perfect for our walks on National Forest land behind our property during hunting season. Thor had one just like it until he ripped it last fall - what a perfect gift!

Next he discovered the bag full of ropes. These are probably the best shared toys for my boys. They'll tug and tug and entertain each other. Thor inspects the loot:

The boys immediately started playing with one of them.

My parents sent this cute ornament for Barley's first christmas. Too bad I never got the tree up this year! (couldn't figure out how to Barley-proof it).

Finally, for an extra fun Christmas day, we took the boys out skiing. Between the present frenzy and the skijoring, they slept through the rest of the day so we could enjoy Christmas dinner with friends in peace.

There were so many other more fun things in the boxes - treats, balls, puzzle toys, and human gifts too! But I was so busy managing the chaos I didn't get pictures of it all. Thank you all so much for the fun christmas morning!
