    To Murphy (Murphy030813)

    Ho ho ho, Murphy,
It's my understanding that you are a quite special and loved very much. Your mom writes very nice things about you and I can see you are a good boy. Because you are so good I am going to send you a nice Christmas surprise this year. In fact....I have a couple of things in mind but would love to know what your mom and dad think you might like. (I would also like to help you get your parents a little something special if you have any ideas for them too, that will be a secret though) Keep being a good boy and I promise it will be a very merry Christmas for you this year.

    love
    your very own Secret Santa!!!

Oh Gosh Mr. Santa - this is SOOOOO exciting!!! I can hardly wait!!!! I've been doing my best to be good, my mom and dad say that they won the doggy lottery when they got me from the shelter, I am just happy I found them because they really needed me. What I do I love? - I really love stuffed animals but mom gets mad when I tear them apart in under 15 minutes. For awhile she tried sewing them back together but I think she's given up. We have lots of tough toys now, some I've had for almost a year and I haven't destroyed them yet! As for treats, I love the soft treats over hard and crunchy treats. I have no allergies and like pretty much everything!!! My mom is starting a collection of collars for me, it's the kind of fashion statement I like to make - but I don't have a Christmas themed collar yet!

As for my parents - that is so sweet of you to ask!!! I not sure if I understand this, but mom is a Green Bay Packer Fan and Dad is a Chicago Bears fan - there is always lots of yelling when those teams play, and oh dear when they play each other....I'm also happy it's getting cold, because during the summer, they leave me alone for 4 hours on the weekend while they go play golf. We also cheered on the Royals in the World Series this year, that was fun. My mom is training me to do Agility and my dad plays lots of fetch with me in the backyard --- they occasionally eat chocolate but never let me have any.

Oh Mr. Santa, I can't wait until you visit - do you have a little elf doggy of your own? Perhaps you could give me a few hints about him or her?

Yes Murphy there is an elf doggie, he is a black lab and very very special to us. He reminds me so much of you so I was very happy to have you be my chosen one. I think I am just as excited as you are about Christmas. I can't give you too much information right now because then I wouldn't be a Secret Santa but I will give you more hints between now and Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving Secret Santa!!! Did you know that it was one year ago today that I learned about TURKEY!!!! I have been in love with it ever since!!! My mom and dad even cook me Turkey Breast all year long and I get 3 little pieces of Turkey on top of my kibble every meal!!! My mom and Dad say that I am spoiled, but hey - I just eat what they put in front of me!

Secret Santa, I'm so happy to learn that you have a a black lab too! We really are the best! I'll look forward to more hints coming soon and will continue to be on my best behavior!

Oh Dear Santa!!!! Thank you so much for the lovely gifts!!! I had so much fun sniffing each and every one of them!!! I tried to open some of them but I ended up eating some paper so Mom & Dad opened them for me!!! Until mom figures out how to make the pictures smaller, she just wanted to share this one of me in my fancy new collar!!!

My mom wonders why I always look so serious in my photos!!! Thank you so much for the fancy collar, and the treats, and the 2014 ornament. Mom got me an ornament for my first Christmas last year, but I hadn't gotten one for this year yet so that was awesome. Mom and Dad made lots of yummy noises for the chocolate that they got, but of course, didn't share any with me. BUT, I did get to eat one of the sausage treats tonight when we got home after Agility practice because mom said I did so well tonight!!!

The best part - is I know who you are!!!! You could be my best bud - since we share the same name - MURPHY!!!!! Thank you so much for such a great start to Christmas Murphy!!!

Mom promises to post more pictures soon!!!

You are very welcome! I have to admit Murphy looks very handsome with his new collar in front of the tree. Thanks for posting his picture. I'm glad you all liked your surprises and you guessed right!!! It was fun shopping for Murphy because I honestly felt a connection with our boys having the same name!

Have a wonderful Christmas and please keep us up to date with how Murphy does with his agility competitions.

    Here's a few more pictures:

Investigating the box, I LOVED your Santa's little helper stickers!:

    Investigating the first gift:

Whenever we give Murphy a new toy or even a new treat that he's never had before, he always has to take it downstairs to investigate...and here he goes!:

And here he is in his downstairs investigation spot!

On to the next gift, we thought we would let Murphy try to open it on his own...but he ended up trying to eat the paper:

A lovely frame with the year 2014 on it --- which I love!!!!

And the final gift was food!!!!

After Agility training the other night, he did so good so I gave him an entire sausage. I think he's in love!!!!

Thank you again, will have fun following your Murphy as he continues to grow up!!!!

    Happy Holidays!!!
