    Fran's tumor was malignant.

We got the biopsy results today. Liver is good. The lymph node that swollen was benign. Unfortunately, the splenic mass was malignant and it is an aggressive cancer. We start chemo next week since she needs to be at 14 days post surgery. So, phththtphth. She's completely normal right now.

Sorry to hear that, but glad she’s recovering nicely from the surgery. Hope the chemo buys her some quality time.

Our "conventional" vet who is now no longer so conventional has a son who is now 28. He was diagnosed with heart cancer a year and a half ago. Her daughter is a naturopath. Her son is still alive and the cancer is no longer detectable. She has become an expert on holistic medicine and know that I am more than receptive to such techniques.

We're going to hit this hard. Fran is already on yunnan baiyao and a mushroom blend that includes coriolus. There are also supplements that increase the receptiveness of chemo.

All of her other organs are in such great shape. We'll give it a shot as long as it doesn't compromise her quality of life.

I'm really sorry. It sounds like you've got a good plan of attack, though...best thoughts for Fran's comfort for a long time to come.
