That's been in my mind, too. Thankfully, since I've posted there have been no more accidents. But the signs are starting to appear. She's 100% still mentally healthy, it's just that blasted back end.

My Dakota is a few steps behind your Kimber. I am planning to get the helper harness soon. I was going to suggest to try it even though it may weird her out she's got to poop eventually. I don't know, it's rough when the mind and heart are still 100% and it's rough any other way too. I have been thinking that I will use a harness and sling to do anything I can for her as long as I feel she wants me too. Easier in my mind than it is in real life. Sending good vibes love and light for you both.

honestly this seems to be the road I am on with Rocky. Generally speaking he is all there (very very minor potential confusion moments but nothing that is a big deal). still mostly happy enough that I feel it is NOT time, that he has a quality of life still.

But his back end keeps declining. I have the feeling that, IF we are lucky and we can manage the LP thru the summer, we will hit a point were he can't get up anymore or moving around hurts and i'll have to make the call I've suspected that would be our road since he started having back end issues years ago. Honestly surprised we got this far!
