    Bone broth

I hear how amazing bone broth is for dogs and humans like. I have only seen Honest brand which has turmeric in it. I think turmeric triggers seizures in Dakota so I am looking for one without it. Anyone know of any?

I make my own. Leftover chicken or turkey, the more fat the better because you can get it nearly all off when you refrigerate. Beef bones too but they take a lot more simmering. A lot, lot more.

I have seen Pacific and Kitchen Basic brands. Amazon has both and neither say turmeric for the chicken version. I have used both brand's chicken stock for human cooking and other types of Kitchen Basic (veggie, beef, turkey, fish) have been pleased with their products. I've done more Kitchen Basics just becaus my market puts it on sale regularly.

Anyone use a slow cooker or pressure cooker to make their own, or do you just do it on the stove?

Have never made any. What I do know is that my Mom used to make turkey rice soup with the turkey carcass and she had really picked the bird clean of all meat. The broth was amazing.

I make my own and end up spending about $2/quart. I have an InstantPot so no stinking or heating up the house or leaving stove unattended. And it's quick. If you can find a grocery store that has a lot of ethnic food or a larger store in an ethnic area, you'll have more luck finding things like chicken feet and pigs feet, which both make the best bone broth and are super cheap. Around here, I find these things at our Winco. However, you can also use wings (turkey or chicken). More expensive, but easier to find.

I use Pacific. I get it at a regular Kroger owned grocery store. It DOES have Rosemary extract in it, though.
