    Rocky's having a good week

With seniors you get bad days/weeks and good. last weekend was rough, his back end was weaker. BUT, we got a reprieve these past few days. and this is a sure sign mister is feeling better! and shockingly good balance!

Rocky is still doing well. We are walking farther than we have in the last summer months which is great. He seems "better" with the cold weather. The LP is barely an issue at this point (unless we walk too far on a 19-20 degree C day with sun but it's manageable). The extra time on walks is great, though I am trying to be careful to not overdue it. Really opens up qualify of life, he is loving sniffing new spots. We can do two 15-20 mins walks (note we are not covering a ton of distance which is fine)

On Monday I was just going to swing around the tennis court, but he pulled towards the path to go around the pond in the park. I was nervous but we went ahead and he did it! his leg was dragging a bit more on the last part of the walk but he was such a happy man. And no visible repercussions from the extra long walk.

Tuesday we had our monthly (ish) neural therapy. The vet said Rock is looking good. His front end is pretty off due to over compensation and he has an issue with the psoas muscle in the good back leg. He said it's no wonder he couldn't do stairs anymore. So I've bitten the bullet and scheduled a visit with a physio next Thursday. It's too far for me to get to (the car sharing you pay by KM) but my parents are in town so I'll go in for an assessment and hoping they can show ME what to do at home. I could possibly go back once more and visit my friend who lives nearby.

Photoshoot is tomorrow, and his half birthday (13.5) is next week (his gift - that above appointment! haha - I may get him a few fries as well.)

I'm so glad to hear the cooler weather has his blood stirring. It's nice to think of him enjoying the outdoors without those frightening breathing episodes. Maybe you can talk a Tim Horton's into giving him a little cup of whipped cream, a half-birthday puppuccino Tim Horton's style!

Great report on Rocky and you sound a lot better. Yes, the cooler weather is good for everyone. Glad that there were no increased diificulty on your walks and that Rocky is willing and able to go.

Keep up the good work and many smiles for Rocky's 13.5 birthday.
