Kimber had a fabulous life with you and DH. Sorry to read of the loss of your special girl. They're never with us long enough, even at 12+ years old.
    *Hugs*
    Godspeed sweet Kimber.

I feel like so many of us know each other, even though we haven't met. We lived through Kimber's decline and back end issues, etc...and we all feel the loss I believe when this unfortunate day comes...

    RIP precious Kimber!

I feel the waves of emotion wash over as I feel the place you have been in with Kimber. This is so very similar to what I went through with Dakota just 5 months ago. Prior to that I had myself lost track of and rationalized the time and the decision...Dakota had the same falling and getting stuck issues as well. You know the struggle I went through with that and for days I wondered if I had jumped the gun-just because missing her hurt so much. It's hard to see and when we try to calm them, at least for me, I cant hide my grief. It is a heartbreak that doesn't ever go away. It is a blessing when you can think of her without hurting so much and that will come. Goodness Kimber-you're one loved girl. Thank you for sharing her with us.

MD, your sharing your Dakota experiences helped me so much as we reached the saddest part of the dog owner journey. Thank you for being so generous with your experiences.
