This past Thursday Bailey turned to me and I noticed his third eye lid was up a bit on his eye so I got down on the floor with him to check it out. What I found was that both eyes had the third eyelid up and his eyes were rolling up and down not side to side along with his eyebrows going up and down and the lower lid hanging down a bit.
I called the evet and the receptionist/vet tech didn't know what it could be never heard of it happening before, since his eyes were back to normal we decided not to take him. Saturday morning I did call his regular vet they were closed Friday for the holiday and let her know what had happened
Any ideas? His regular vet said it sounded like a mini stroke. He never lost control of his bowels or bladder, was and still is eating, drinking wanting to play with is babies etc. just that 10-15 minute episode Thursday evening.

Mini vestibular disease episode? Is it all gone now? No lingering effects?
Seizures affect things in strange ways....perhaps a petit-mal? Had he been active earlier or perhaps it was warmer than usual? (heat can exacerbate seizure tendencies)
I first thought of vestibular disease but his eyes were going up and down not side to side. It is all gone now and hasn't happened since and I don't see any difference in him or his actions.Originally Posted by Snowshoe

I thought it might be a seizure too but his vet for what ever reason didn't think it was a seizure. No activity it was in the evening he had been inside for over an hour as they ate around 5pm so I keep them calm before and after they eat. Lowen our aussie used to stare at the walls we found out long after he was gone he was probably having seizures. So might have been what happened to Bailey.
We have been keeping an eye on him nothing thankfully so far. Just odd that his eyes were doing all those weird things
