Oh my goodness, that sounds so scary, but it seems that Daisy is in good hands. Sending good thoughts you get some answers soon and that Daisy goes back to her old self.

We went to visit her. She was laying on her side breathing really heavily, she perked up and raised her head for a moment when walked in but she couldn't keep it raised for long and put it back down. Her back legs were shaking. It was really hard to see her in this state.

We talked to the vet and her sonogram result was normal, her blood work is also normal and does not explain the state that she's in. She also had a chest x-ray which also didn't show anything. She's not well enough to come home and she's been transferred into the ICU. The vet thinks that A. she has gone from Cushing's to an Addisonian crisis, B. this is a reaction to the Vetoryl, or C. this is something completely unrelated to Cushing's. B seems to be the least likely as she has tolerated Vetoryl for a few years. She had a consult with the neurologist and he sees some paralysis on the left side of her face. They're going to check her for clotting. We're also still waiting on the ACTH results which may be able to tell us whether this is an Addison's crisis. They're treating her as if it is and have been administering glucocorticoids. They've told us there is a 50/50 chance of her coming out of this.

I just feel completely at a loss. We're going to go see her again in a little bit.

Oh my goodness. It’s awful to see our pups in distress, especially when the cause is unknown. I hope you get answers soon, and that Daisy improves quickly!

I took this photo of her our our visit this evening. Thanks for the prayers thus far. We’re hoping and praying that she makes it through the night.
