So much to deal with. Boomer's happy attitude must be what's keeping you sane. Good wishes.

Thank you for all your good thoughts and wishes. I really appreciate them.

After almost three days of thyroid meds, Boomer seems to have periods of bright, expressive movement & energy. He’s been catching & releasing balls with low-height pounces. I’ve had to retrieve balls from under the couch - always when I’ve been reading too long - but his energy fades away too soon, and he gets back to napping. It’s early yet so hopefully, there are more improvements to come.

Boomer’s resigned expression (at least that’s what it looks like to me) when it’s time for me to go to work. I know all dogs are good dogs but he really is a good dog.

Well, there’s nothing wrong with Boomer’s hearing. He was asleep & snoring in the bedroom when I quietly went to the kitchen and opened the jar of peanut butter to prep his meds. I turned around and there he was, already trotting in.

LOL at Boomer being right behind you waiting for peanut butter. We used to think Tootsie had hearing problems but she could hear a banana being pealed two rooms away from her sleeping self.

Continued good thoughts for Cooper that you find the right dose for his thyroid meds. My Bailey was on thyroid meds for a while and denimarin i think was the drug of choice for his liver issues.

I’m happy to report Boomer’s thyroid is now perfect according his latest bloodwork. He also lost four pounds of the weight he gained. Did not realize that was related but apparently yes.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
