    CBD Oil??

So China has been having more difficulty with getting in and out of my Traverse ( I use a step and she goes in and out of the middle row because she won't use the ramp and the back is too high). I got her a sling and she hates it. She looks like a cute handbag. It helps a little but not a lot. I'm going to try wider steps but I n the meantime her arthritis is bothering her and she's having trouble getting up after lying Dow for some time. She also be 12 in August. She's gotta got to the debut seeing as every trip is costly I need a few weeks to get paid a few more times. In the meantime I went to buy her some coated aspirin today but they didn't have any. They suggested CBD Oil and said its much better for her and more effective. Who's used it here and does it work? I am about to give her some and am hoping she's feeling better soon.

CBD oil doesn't work for every human nor for every dog. I've tried it and had Dan on it for a while. Nothing.

I'm using RestoraPet for Dan now. Too soon to tell but he sure likes it. https://www.amazon.com/RestoraPet-An...s%2C124&sr=8-6

Is China on any medications? CBD oil can interfere with medications processed in the liver (inhibit a necessary enzyme, I think). I knew right up front I couldn't use it for Sunnie (Rovera, Gabapentin).

She's not on any medication yet. I have not seen a difference either and I gave it to her a while ago. I feel like if it were aspirin I would have seen some relief by now. Ugh.

So today she is the same. Once up and walking only a slight limp but getting up after lying down for a while is hard. I'm using the sling to get her down the 3 front steps to go outside but once out there she can walk. Calling the vet tomorrow but in the meantime I'm reading about using anti-inflammatory foods....anyone feed sweet potato and celery with ginger and turmeric? I can't find anything that suggests how much of those foods it takes to help alleviate inflammation.

I suspect most non-medication therapies take a while to work, if they're going to work at all. If she's in pain, I'd probably see if the vet can give her medication to give her quicker relief, such as rimadyl or Galliprant or one of the other NSAIDs, and in the meantime you could investigate and start introducing some of the other complementary or alternative approaches to arthritis and give them time to build up in her system.

    Interesting article thank you.
Today she is moving better after the rough start in the morning. I went grocery shopping and got her some sweet potatoes celery ginger blueberries...th I ings to add to her diet to help with inflammation. Am still going to call the vet as well because I firmly believe she should have something if there is something available to help with the lameness / pain. And I still don't know if it is pain causing her to not get up or if she simply can't. After I got home she's been with me all day in and out of the kitchen while I mealprep and cook. She had another dropperful of the CBD Oil and her movement is far better although that back leg is still being favored. When she's alone while I'm at work she sleeps *all* day. And that adds to her stiffness I am sure. So whether or not it is helping I have no idea but I guess it can't hurt right?
This stage of life has me second guessing another lab because I'm doubting my own ability to manage a large dog by myself. I'm just under five feet and although I've always been strong - my back is not what it used to be and I literally cannot hold her weight without a struggle. I don't want to let her down- figuratively and literally.....
Let's hope we can get to get without a huge bill. I'm switching vets because the one I used for so long is just ridiculous with what they charge anymore.
I just wish China would use the darn ramp.....
