We too are sorry to hear this as we have been there with our former dogs as well. Barry makes some good points above, but just know that we are thinking of you and wishing you strength at this difficult time.

This is really heartbreaking to hear. Saw and read this almost twelve hours ago, felt that I should respond to your sad post and spent the time trying to find the right words. You know Hershey well enough to see how he's doing and he knows you well enough to let you know what he wants and needs. When the time comes, this is the toughest decision and the bravest and most courageous deed proving your love for your furry companion and friend, helping them leave with dignity and without unnecessary suffering. Sending our good thoughts for both of you and wishing you a lot of wisdom and courage M&M

    Also agree with Barry's post.
Hardest thing ever, but one we must all go through.
    Hugs to you.

The most difficult decision a pet owner must face. I've done it more times than I'd like to remember. My heart goes out to you and Hershey.

This is the hardest thing a dog owner has to do. I still cry thinking about the day I knew it was time for my lily. But when it happened and she finally relaxed I knew I did the right thing. She was in my arms and knew she was loved and cherished. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and Hershey.

I am so sorry this decison is upon your heart, but as dog guardians we promised to take care of them from birth to their last heart beat.

Having been there myself as so many here have, only afterwards will you realise what great sacrificise your have made to help your Hershey. She will smile as she crosses the Rainbow Bridge and say "Thank you so much, I feel great now!" and be smiling as she sees all of our other babies playing in the rich fields of grass with wonderful streams.

I agree with Barry's post that a day early so much better and with MikeLynn that this action takes courage from your heart.

Sending our world famous MOJO for strength and comfort. Know that we are here for YOU when you need it. When I went thru it, this community of folks were better than family or friends.

    God speed to you.

I will be thinking of you and Hershey. I am also coming up on this decision with my GSD, Heidi. You are not alone. Take care and keep your chin up.
