I missed your thread when you first posted. Now that I see it I'm very sorry to read of the outcome. So sorry for your loss.
So very sorry for your loss.
Rest In Peace Sweet Bella
I am so sorry for your loss but thankful you had a vet that could come to the house and ease Bella's passing (for her and all of you). Prayers for your hearts to heal..... Just so sad.....

We are so sorry for your loss. It is very nice that she was able to be in comfort and loving arms when she passed.
I was worried about an anal mass when you talked about the ribbon like poop. We are also sorry that your vet did not do a rectal exam. We love our vet he is the best ever! Midnight's diagnosis came about because we took him in for diarrhea. One of the first things our vet did was the rectal exam- he was getting a stool sample to test but also wanted to check things out. He felt the mass right away. Midnight never had the ribbon poop but our vet informed us to be looking for it. He referred us to a specialist for an ultrasound and a biopsy. Of course it is cancer. Anal Sac Carcinoma is very rare- I believe it is only 1% of all cancers in dogs.
