I love hearing stories like this, and hope I am in a position to tell it one day with Tilly (7)

I am hopeful for my Moby who turned 13 this month. He also had a vestibular episode a few months back but is perfectly well now. Arthritis in his hips and slower paced on walks - but he is an amazing trouper. I give him raw food in the morning - which I think helps him enormously and grain free dry food in the evening. (He had a mast cell and spindle cell tumor removed in April and I have been grain free with him (and now my puppy) ever since. The seniors are so wonderful! Congratulations on getting your puppy to 14 and counting!

What great stories from all of you with Seniors. Love pic of Pre. My husband and I have always raised and loved labs. We started with a chocolate named Dixie who died of breast cancer before the age of 10, her daughter Aggie died of tetanus at 7 years, an her daughter Ginny died of cancer at 8. We adopted Harley Davison at approx. 8 months who had an autoimmune disease and 2 TPO surgeries. Harley lived to be 11 years old, but passed away 9/8/14 of heart failure. He did not show any clinical signs of heart problems until 6 days before he died. I hope you don't think I am raining on your parade. Your stories of your seniors made me smile which has been so difficult for me lately. Best to all and keep loving every day that you have with your "babies". They are truly special.

I want to keep hearing about these amazing old puppies! My Moby just turned 13 and after a vestibular event of his own in July and a mast cell and spindle cell tumor in August is still going strong. Thank god. I feed him raw in the morning and grain free in the afternoon and walk him every day. Good luck with your beautiful Pre!

I can only pray that ours lives so long! He is a joy and he keeps me happy just by being himself.

Prayers for Pre, many more years!

Welcome. 14 is awesome!!!! My insurance agents lab lived to 17 or 18 and according to my brother he got a lot of questions from the local vet school and the details of his dog.

I used to chat to this one lady on walks, she had a 15 year old she was taking on decent length walks, her trick was exercise and keeping the dog lean.

I have a young senior (my 1st.dog), she turns 10 in November. I have always had it in my mind she will live to 15, she is not gray yet and we still take her running, plus she has a very exuberant dog which will keep her on her toes.

Congrats!! Oscar is 12 1/2, doing well except for also an issue with diabetes insipid us and inability to concentrate his urine. we've worked around that. And some spinal stenosis so weakness in his rear legs. otherwise going strong. You give us hope for many more years with him.
