I am so sorry....it is very hard to see a once, strong and vibrant dog decline like this...

    Sending prayers for sweet Hudler..

    So sorry for sweet Hudler.

Like your husband, DH has a very difficult time toward the end. He would keep saying, no he/she is OK when I knew life was getting very difficult for the furkid. Husbands have such soft hearts, that's one of the big reasons we love them so much.

Sending gentle hugs and prayers for Hudler. Hugs to you and your DH.

Don't go home, then you won't have to see. I know, facetious. But I know I felt like that sometimes.

It's such a tough time. My OH is the other way around, he would never willingly see the time is right. With Jet I asked if while he was away should I make the decision and act on it without him, and he said yes and I did. Then I called him to come home.

Thinking of both of you and Hudler.

    A sad situation for sure.

No advice, just sending well wishes. And remember, it's better a bit too early than too late.

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”

I think if you're asking this question here, you already know the answer. It's hard. The hardest decisions I've ever had to make. We want to do what's best for them, but the hurt you feel makes is so hard. I hope you can find peace with your decision and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh my, the crying would kill me. So sad, this time of their life.
