Ho old is Dakota? Has she had any blood work done lately?
She may have parasites? That may cause her to have diarrhea and lost weight.
These babies are wearing out my wallet lately. i am not complaining. I seem to have a bit of a break with Montana's issues-he's playing & running around the house like a miracle dog. Now it's Dakota's turn ...last winter she was switched from her regular food to a high fiber food due to diarrhea-she was on metronidazole for a bit and the vet finally said you know maybe its just her darn food-lets keep her on this high fiber stuff that seemed to help. No more diarrhea since. Lately I'd say in the past month I've noticed it seems shes pooping more. From 2 -3 times a day up to sometimes 4 times a day. Now when we 1st switched she started pooping more on this food than her previous, but I expected that due to the fiber. So now its just a bit more like more times a day, not so much volume at one time. She's shedding fierce lately too & looking skinny-ish so I decided to up her food. But that's only been in the past few days. The increase in poop times per day increased before that. She is always acting starved. I know she's a lab but she is more into the food than Montana! Iv'e got her on Heartguard Plus. ...what could be causing this seemingly more pooping and starving, not- over- weight- like most Labs issue??

Well it's kind of funny but yesterday I was googling trying to find our why all of a sudden I'm hungry all the time and Ram is almost fainting when I get home from work. Since the weather has now become a lot cooler/colder I have been starving all day. My eating habits have not changed from the summer but I need more food to feel full.
According to what I have read, we and maybe dogs as well do eat more in colder weather. Could be higher metabolism to keep warm, or we need the extra calories to get through winter.
Either way I'm blaming it on biology when I reach for an extra chocolate chip cookie.
---she's 10 1/2, no bloodwork, she is due for an annual exam and I'm getting there-its been tough with the added expenses of Montana's illness & meds but we're getting to everything slowly but surely. She had been checked for parasites last year because of the diarrhea at that time. Since then there has been no diarrhea.
Funny yes because I was thinking the same thing...that maybe due to the cold coming in ....blah blah blah...maybe your'e right. Like I said -no diarrhea (or vomiting) We've not been walking our every day as usual, but so when we do go we've been going further ( since Montana's feeling it, we follow)
Maybe you're' right. Maybe it's just a seasonal thing. But the additional poop almost every day ( not exactly every day)
....it's always about the poop. It always comes down to the poop.

Yes I had planned it but I guess I have to sooner rather than later. I'm nervous now I hope its nothing serious.....
No other suggestions than Lovemylabby gave you. Definitely take in a poop sample to make sure. Also agree with a senior blood panel.
