She also got all her shots & I had the vet check all her lumps again, since I'd found a new one on her side, & also had the vet check her eyes. Had the bloodwork done before anesthesia, & it turns out the only thing that was a little high was the ALT, which the receptionist said means liver value. She said it wasn't high enough to worry about right now, but I should probably have it rechecked in 6 months. Turned out Molly had an ear infection I wasn't aware of, & she has some cloudiness in her eyes--vet says either the start of cataracts or nuclear sclerosis. But other than that, Molly is doing very well, & I was glad to hear that all lumps are fatty lipomas (thank goodness!). I love this sweet girl so much!
It is so hard to realize that she is getting old now (she is 10....).

What a sweety! Great pictures. Enjoy those pearly whites and fresh breath! Hoping for the best for all the rest. Ear infection should clear up in no time. And yay for fatty lipomas!

For the high ALT, you can supplement with milk thistle for a couple of days.

Good check up for a senior.
Melody had the beginnings of cataracts. The vet said they did not hinder her sight and they never progressed.
I agree, milk thistle helps support liver function. You can also supplement with wild salmon oil, which also helps support liver function.

She doesn't look a day over 2
I agree with the milk thistle too, run it by your vet

Thanks everybody! That is good to know, about the milk thistle & salmon oil! Also about the cataracts--I've been so worried that Molly will go blind, & I've read that it can cost $1500 to $3000 per eye to do surgery on cataracts....maybe I'll be lucky & Molly's won't progress too much, either.....I know she can still see, but it seems like she doesn't see as well as she used to, especially at night. We have a 12 yr old Pug, also, so both my babies are getting up there & starting to have a few issues. It's so hard when they get older.....
