Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Hello, just wondering what TCM means?
Thank you
Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We've had Jessie on Chinese herbs since last October with no positive results whatever. They are terribly expensive & this is so disappointing. But! Having said that, I think it depends on what your dog is on them for. Jessie is on them for her years of skin problems & skin problems are one of the most difficult things to treat. Unfortunately, our Naturopathic vet who is administering these herbs is as befuddled as we are & has tried different formulas over that last 6 months to no avail. I believe this vet is doing all she can & has had much success with other patient. So my advice is not to get in too deep.....if 6 months of herbal treatment doesn't help, I would look elsewhere. We have spent a fortune with the appointments, treatments & herbs. I hope it works well for you.....good luck!
Thank you sooo much! I will certainly give them a call - although I just ordered the next batch of herbs for my older dog and his spindle cell tumor. It does not seem to be helping at all - and his tumor is getting bigger every day. It is on his right front leg - and I worry that it will split and ulcerate soon. Do you have any suggestions for this?

i know nothing about that, but cant hurt to speak to mark. i don't have much experience with cancers and chinese herbs. incontinence, GOLPP, barfing from eli, and stuff like that. they are very nice and i don't find that they push what isn't going to work.
good luck with your dog and mention betty nicholson. wed is free shipping but he may just offer it to you anyway.
I am little late to the thread, but I wanted to chime in that we turned to TCM when Stella was in end stage Mast Cell Disease. She was undergoing palliative radiation for the primary tumor on her chest wall, so to give her supportive care, we introduced Wei Qi Booster (along with acupuncture, in hindsight not something I would recommend for mast cell tumors, but that's off topic). It initially gave her the runs, but we reduced her dosage to a tolerable level and while it didn't reduce her tumor growth, I can honestly say her demeanor and overall comfort seemed to improve. We didn't realize at the time that her hindquarters were riddled with either a secondary round cell sarcoma or metastasized mast cells, but in the short time she had remaining, she really did seem to feel better on the booster!
