So, so sorry for your loss. As with many others here, I know how hard it is. You will be in my thoughts and prayers that healing will come with time. There will be a day when you think of sweet Ellie and you won't wipe away a tear, but break out in a big smile. You'll know then that she'll always be with you. She knows how much she was loved.

It can be so hard. I cried in my sleep for three weeks about Whisper. Just the other night while driving home I was inexplicably overcome with grief at the loss of cat 7 years ago. I was crying in the car and I have no idea what set that off. Most of the times my memories of them are sweet and you will find this too as you go on. You will have some tears, but the happy memories will overcome them. I'm so sorry for your loss.

So very sorry. They give so much during their short life time. Please let the sweet memories you made together help you though the grieving. Talk to your vet, there are many groups that could help you through this time.

It is the hardest decision to make but a true gift of love to let them go when their bodies fail.

Please, please stay with the board and when you can, tell us more about the life and times of your sweet girl.

    Rest In Peace Ellie

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my heart dog Jan. 9, so what you are feeling is fresh in my mind. It is so difficult. I did not want to go on without Heidi either. Believe it or not, it does get easier with the passing of time. Give yourself time to grieve in any way you need to. Thinking of you.

So very sorry for your loss. You made the right decision, remember also that it is always better to make that call a bit too early, rather than a bit too late.
