Mulder’s not doing so well :(

The past few days he’s had a few seizures, which has happened before (he’s had them for almost 2 years now). The seizures themselves haven’t seemed any worse than usual - still brief and he comes out of them quickly, but they have left him VERY weak. Yesterday and today he hasn’t been able to get up on his own, although yesterday, once we got him up he could walk pretty well on his own. This morning, he had a hard time taking more than a couple steps on his own. He may have had a seizure overnight, but I can’t be sure - if not then he just had an accident in the house, which would be new for him. I’m kind of hoping it was a seizure, as it would explain why he is worse today than yesterday.

He had a cluster of seizures almost identical to this in December (6 over 4 days - now he is up to 5 over 4 days), and then bounced back nicely and didn’t have another one for 6 weeks. They didn’t take as much out of him previously, but I know they are exhausting for the body.

He doesn’t seem to be in any pain and his appetite is as good as ever, so for now, we’re just going to hope that he can bounce back from this, but I am definitely worried. My DH left on a business trip this morning too, so as long as the situation isn’t desperate, I’m not going to make any decisions until he gets back later in the week.

I hope Mulder rallies. Seizures take a lot out of even a young dog. The fact that it is probably a disease or cancer causing them at his age does not help. ((Hugs!))

Oh no, poor Mulder. Sending good thoughts for no more seizures and that he feels better soon.

    Sending good thoughts for Mulder.

We had a foster that had a seizure she bounced back quickly. Tootsie had a couple and it took time for her to get back to herself afterward they took a lot out of her too. Hope your little boy is relaxing and is feeling better.

I'm sorry, those must be really tough on him. Sure hope he can bounce back again, and enjoy the summer weather with you all. Hugs to you, seeing him weak like this is so hard.
