Thank you. He was a handsome dude.

Interesting story behind that sig pic (and it's one of our faves) is that we didn't take it. We were in Vegas to celebrate my (John's) 50th birthday and our neighbor, with whom we exchange house watching and dog sitting, was coming back from feeding our horses in the barn and Calley and Midnight were there on our deck after having their breakfast. She took the phone pic and texted it to us on the morning of my 50th. One of the best birthday gifts I have ever received.

We appreciate all the kind words on this thread. Thank you all.

I am hugging my 13 1/2 year old every day. I am about to take he and his one year old brother to the dog park. Moby has had plenty of challenges from a huge spindle cell tumor regrowth, a mast cell and spindle cell removal, a vestibular incident and now a wee bit of confusion. But - he still LOVES to go to the park and run around.

My sympathies - I know eventually I will have to make that decision as well. Heartbreaking.

Midnight was a beauty. Sorry for your loss. I just lost my black lab so I can empathize...It's very tough.
