That is a beautiful picture! There is a lot of sweetness in that frosted face.

I think you have made a very wise decision and I pray that God comforts you and gives you strength as you continue your journey with Moby.

A beautiful picture of a beautiful black boy - love their gentle and wise faces; really brings back memories as Lynn looked very similar at that age.

That picture of Moby is exactly how I picture my Gabe to look in several years. Brings many tears of the thought.

Love him hard and deep with great appreciation of the years of love he has given you and you him.

I am sorry you are going through this. It is not easy. List 3 things your dog loves to do and when he can't enjoy them anymore it is time.

Sometimes, their diseases can cause very traumatic deaths. Your vet may be thinking along this line. Whether it be literally bleeding out before your eyes or some type of neurological event, keep that in mind.

A day early is better than 5 minutes too late.

Is there a friend or family member who would drive you? It would probably have to be them driving your car, or go in theirs. If you think you might be too over wrought to drive yourself that is and you have to go to the Vet. My cat sitting friend volunteered to come with me a couple of times but I'm better alone. It was actually kind of hard dissuading her. This is a personal thing, there's no way that's better than another.

Most of us here know what you're going through, some of us many times. I can tell you it's the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Moby.

I have not read all the posts. My heart aches for you at this difficult time.... When you make the decision to let Moby go to the bridge, bring your pup to see and smell his body. Wolves in the wild do this and accept death. It is the hope that dogs have the same ability and it can prevent the pup from feeling abandoned. It is not a guarantee but can help. I know it is difficult for us to see but it is worth it in the hopes it will help the pup to cope. Prayers for you and your family.

What a beautiful photo of Moby to have to remember him by. Having just gone through this I can say that while looking at photos is heartbreaking, I also can't pull myself away because it fills my heart with my so many loving memories. Lots of love and hugs being sent to you and your pups
