Dakota-panting & dry mouth kind of sound...

I cant even explain this because I am not home with her my husband texted me asking whats wrong with her. I ask why?? he says she kept asking to go outside but just stood there when he got her out. He said she was panting & making a sound like her mouth is dry. He is rushing to get my daughter to her dress rehearsal for her dance recital and texting me while grabbing her bags....insane. I am at work and so I ask for a video-no reply. I text again asking if he saw her eat something outside. No reply. Im like wth for goodness sake this is torture. Is he just not in tune with her like I am. He says she was laying on the bathroom floor and my dd took her to her bed, but Dakota left a puddle on the floor of drool. Well that's normal when they are warm and panting...I'm waiting to hear back from him again.

Meanwhile I'm at work-why does this stuff happen when I'm not there or running out the darn door?? And most importantly what in heaven's name could this be?? She was absolutely fine when I left!

They have the worst timing! I think I would call the vet and give him a verbal over the phone and depending on what vet said, either have husband or you call in to work ( I know, that sucks) and take her just in case. Keep us posted-hopefully it's nothing major.

I'm already at work and he has apparently left to get my dd to her rehearsal. I am so aggravated & worried right now.

If she was panting that hard just lying on the floor, I'd suspect pain.

well that's the thing-he never gave me more details. Finally just now he said she was laying on the bed relaxed when he left. I asked relaxed or sick...he said relaxed.
I will be home in an hour and will get a look at her myself. She has been panting a bit more at night and I was feeling like its because she's a bit hot. The AC goes up a bit at night. I got her that cooling pad and when I can get her on it ( I have to hide it under blankets lol) she does cool off. IT's about the size of a legal size of paper so it's not large especially for a lab, but i strategically place it either under her head & shoulders or under her paws. It does help. IT's a large ice pack for dogs.

Send mojo guys pls. just in case.
