    Musicians among us?

I pulled out my old ukulele today, tuned it up, and played the single song I know- Puff, the Magic Dragon. Then I looked online to find the chords for Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World and found one that uses basically the same chords a Puff (!Yes!) so I played them some until my fingertips were sore. I took piano and flute lessons as a kid long enough that I can read music but like cooking or anything else I dabble in, simple and straightforward remains my stronger suit. It made we wonder who else out there plays an instrument, for better or for worse?

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

BEyond putting a CD in a player, nothing for me either. LOL, Barb.

The OH has grade six piano and sang competitively as a little boy till his voice changed. We do have my Mum's piano and I wish he would play it more. We both took piano lessons when we got married and moved here but I've forgotten everything. Oh, he plays guitar too, and mouth organ but not much.

More so back in the day.

Hemi chilling with some of my guitars.

If you can handle it. I recently found this out on the internet which surprised me. We toured in the 90's way before youtube. We opened for Quiet Riot, 38 Special, Foghat and a few others. I was the lead guitarist. Oh yeah i used a lot of hair spray back then. The songs you hear are from our CD. The one and only, the pictures are from various performances. But real and real concert tickets. Brings back lot of good memories. I am the guy you can't see his face on, just hair. I still have all my laminated back stage passes and things around somewhere. You were band guy on weekends factory worker through the week to support your band. Sometimes you play to 3 a.m. be to work by 7 a.m. nap after work back on stage 9:00 at night. But I was young then.

Because I'm older than most of you, I can play a mean radio. CD I have to think about, LOL.

Unfortunately my mother thought that keeping after 2 kids to do their piano lessons, my brother and I grew up with no music instructions. However, my brother taught himself and is quite accomplished.

Jeff, I'm impressed. I agree, we need a long overdue encore.

I played piano from the time I was 4 years old until I was 16. Then I never sat at the piano again. I am now in my early 40s. I might be able to read and play the right hand, but I can't remember the left. I think if I brushed up, it would come back to me after a few months.
