Update on Cassie 14 days post op

Cassie went back to the surgeon yesterday afternoon for a 14 day post op (TTA on left knee) checkup. Surgeon was pleased with her progress so far. She is now off all meds and seems to be pain free.

We are still restricted to 3 or 4 walks around the yard on a short leash. The surgeon noticed that Cassie thinks it is go time. He told me to use her sling as brakes. "If she tries to drive with her bad leg, pull the wheels out from under her." Lift the sling so she can't pull.

Cassie no longer likes the surgeon! He manipulated her knee and picked at her suture line. She spun her head around and gave him a dirty look. You would have thought he tried to get fresh with her lol. She whined to get out of there from that point on.

YAY FOR TEAM CASSIE👍. Ye should be real mobile when spring rolls around and the waters warm up a bit for some hydrotherapy. Jack, ye and CASSIE are in our thoughts.

NIce. Good reports are good to hear. I'd say Go Cassie, but not quite yet.

It's hard to slow them down, isn't it? Cassie looks great!

Yes Cassie seems to have only two settings ON or OFF. She is really starting to get bored. The challenge isn't the surgery, it's going to be keeping her from damaging the repair before it heals.

Tonight while laying at my feet she bit down on my toes using just her very front teeth. When I yelped she crouched in her pounce position ready to play. Off to the crate until she relaxed. At least 4 more weeks of this could be a real treat.
