TRAD DAD - Update

Aye Mates.
Update for ye on the TRAD X MAGGIE breeding. Our trip to NH last weekend was for nought as MAGGIE had a concurrent drop in her progesterone reading that suggested she had not yet started ovulation. We did meet with grand Mates that we don't get to see nearly enough and made new friendships as well. Our hostess Katherine and her daughter Amelia were most gracious and took us on an unexpected trip to Bass Pro Shops allowing me buddy Billy and meself to take advantage on unsticking our supplies of ammunition. Katherine made a wonderful meal for us with some superb "steamers" - clams freshly dug from local waters earlier the same day - sublime👌. We shared several drams o' Bushmills with Katherine in leading her down the road o' no return.😵. So it was determined MAGGIE would likely not be "in the zone" until later in the week and Bill, TRAD, and meself made our way back to Connecticut.

Continual progesterone testing on MAGGIE has been closely monitored and her numbers yesterday suggested she was ovulating so her owner Norm and his 81 year old Dad brought MAGGIE to CT for continued efforts. Attempts at a natural tie were fruitless as MAGGIE was not happy with TRAD'S advances so we went to plan B with a pre-arranged appointment for an AI conducted at me veterinarian's office yesterday afternoon. TEAM MAGGIE went back to New Hampshire last night and will return for another go at a natural tie tomorrow morning, along with the potential for another AI.

So there ye have it. Me vet ran a test on TRAD'S "swimmers" and determined they had skills parallel to those o' Michael Phelps. LMIAO😂. So we are quite optimistic that we will realize some pups from our diligent efforts. Please keep good thoughts for TRAD X MAGGIE - THINK PUPPIES.👍

Sending good thoughts that the breeding takes! Chloe was not receptive to the male’s advances, either, so we did side-by-side AI’s with her, too. I think she prefers a long courtship involving dinner and dancing before she is ready for that step, LOL.
