After a couple of tough weeks, Maxxie, who will be 15 July 7th, was back in the ocean. I was so happy to see him perk up the moment he smelled the ocean. He sat up, put his nose in the air & started to pant & smile. He couldn't wait to get out of the truck. It was a slow walk but he got in & just started swimming. Due to his back legs being so weak I thought he would have troubles in the sand, but he did pretty well.

That's wonderful. Perhaps the boyancy helped him. You are a lucky person.
I wish we still lived close to the ocean, I bet Hudler would love it. He use to retrieve bumpers in the ocean at Laguna Beach when he was a young stud!

how precious! thank you for taking the time to give your old boy what he loves!
How's the salt water on their coat and skin?
I know you are thrilled and so was he. Glad it was. A great day.
He was so excited. I was just so glad he got another chance to experience what he loves. I have been so surprised by his recovery. I really thought it was going to be decision time!! As for salt water on his skin & coat, never has been a problem. I always rinse him off or bath him. We are hoping to have his 15th birthday at the beach in 2 weeks. We have a blast. One year we had 27 dogs.
What a special trip! So glad to see Maxx having a great time. He really does look happy.
Wow how cool for him!
I have to admit this brought some tears to my eyes. So happy to see this!
