    Back From The Vet

Archie was his normal wussy self. Weight still very good. Of course, he was chasing squirrels this morning so whatever he pulled/tweaked has resolved. He has a history of horn papillomas which dry up and fall off. He has one where his back pack strap would rub and it is not drying up. His teeth need a cleaning but generally, what he has left, look OK. Even so, he is getting his teeth cleaned with x-rays to make sure nothing is going on. Papilloma will be taken off at that time. His favorite, nails clipped. They will be "tuned up" and dremeled while he's under for his teeth. Poop sample taken in, blood work done, results on Friday. Heartworm blood work drawn.

He's acting more himself but still a little off. We'll see what the next few days bring.

Thank you all for the good thoughts and support. Mommy was pretty worried.

Glad to hear you boy is more like himself. Seems like everyone around is getting older with more problems and Gabe and I don't seem to be there quite yet. Then I look closer at him and see more white hairs are showing and I look in the mirror and see an old man! BUMMMER!!

Got a call about the tests. Fecal is clear; amazing since he is a poop eater. Heartworm negative. All his blood work great.

That leaves his teeth. Mid June he will have his dental, x-rays and a cleaning. He has been hesitant with hard cookies so one of those teeth we've been keeping an eye on may be a problem. Hope not but if so it will be taken care of. One step at a time.

Oh, his attitude and greatly improved. The grands have not been over as much; DD's work schedule changed some so she is able to take them to school more often. He was elated to see them this morning and play outside with them. He's not as clingy. He's such a puzzle to figure out sometimes.
