    Nikki has neuroendocrine sarcoma

Anyone? Anyone at all? I understand it is extremely rare.

Oh No! Sorry, no experience and indeed have not heard of it.

    Sending more prayers.

So far it seems from what I've seen online that if they got it all, it's over typically for a few years then when it comes back there's nothing you can do. If it metasticized to other organs though, we're in trouble. They're running more tests now. I'm glad we pushed for the ultrasound. Apparently, there are few to no indicators for this particular cancer and vets just don't catch it in time.

Sounds like it hits two areas right off that bat, with that name. Hope it does not spread.

Poor Nikki and you. Seems like there are problems that are never ending. Hoping for NO metastasizing and sending my best lab board MOJO and prayers.

When my Cracker showed his first symptom of osteosarcoma , his vet did an xray to confirm her suspicions and checked his lungs, which is where the metastasizes would show up earliest and it showed clear lungs, BUT she said he probably had and would be too late to try to combat his problem.

That's the problem with any of the sarcomas-they micro-metastasize and you can not see it.

BUT, we are keeping our hopes high and prayers deep!
