    Now Nikki's deaf.

Until recently we were unaware that hearing loss is a common side effect of chemo.

Now we know. I'm going to look at it as a challenge.

She's doing really well. Fran compensated by sensing movement and vibration but it took her a bit. Nikki doesn't seem to care one way or another and is compensating with air scenting. Very interesting.

    Did not know that.

Bandit did very well after he became deaf. I used consistent hand signals and he caught on quick.

Wow I didn't know that. My first lab Cooper had chemo, but his hearing was ok. Heck I had chemo and I'm ok too. I wonder if it's certain chemo drugs?

Definitely with CCNU. I need to find out more about Palladia. I'll call Monday. Palladia can be a pretty alarming drug and is relatively new (6-8 years or so). Nikki's cancer though is extremely aggressive so very few options. So far she's tolerating it extremely well. We'll keep testing her too. I thought she heard me earlier today once but can't be sure.

Poor little sweetie. It's so hard when they go through chemo. It really is an emotional roller coaster ride. Hugs
