Wow that's insane!!!!! I'll train someones dog for that much lol!!!
You can only visit your puppy with advanced notice on visitation days, twice a month....
Hell, for $12K I'd better be able to show up whenever I want and be served a nice meal with my dog. That is crazy.

OMG!!!
Gotta say, though, Barry, I'm glad to read something like this after your potentially scary "No words..." I was so afraid something happened to one of yours.

I found a similar breeder last year in Northern CA that breeds labs and charged $2500 for the lab and an additional $2500 for 4 weeks of training or $5000 for 8 weeks.
If you send them even more money, they'll donate it to charity! Last year they donated less than the price of a single, trained, black doodle. Somehow that doesn't warm the cockles of my heart.
Well, considering BYB labs are selling for $1800, I am not surprised.

Interestingly the cost of the puppies is "average" for doodles. $2100 for the fanciest most desired color ($1600 for black :P ) that is one expensive training program! $10,000 for 3 months. $3,300 per month. $833/week.
Some of those dogs are the cuter doodles I have seen though (i'll be honest, most doodles I don't find appealing look-wize).
ETA: actually the that makes like ZERO sense - the training program is $9,900 for the "special colored" puppies; $10,100 for the yellow or $7,900 for black puppies. just the TRAINING program is $2200 less/more based on the COLOR OF THE PUPPY! (this is without cost of the puppy!)

How do they justify charging that much for training? The numbers just don't add up. Wow, I'm in the wrong profession if something like this truly exists! I recently paid $330 for Asher's obedience class and thought that was very high. His puppy class was only $165. $12,000 and you can't spot visit your puppy. That's beyond crazy.
