Aye Mates,
Spent this morning training with the "Dynamic Duo" of TRAD and REV along with REV'S handler / owner Rick. An enjoyable morning of field work focused on handling the lads to blinds, maintaining good lines as sent, and taking proper casts when stopped for going off line to a blind retrieve. Whilst on dog was being worked on retrieves the other was being worked on honor of the working dog. T'was a very productive session with both retrievers performing well. A rare July day with temperatures in the sixties and low humidity allowed for the lads to run multiple retrieves without the risks that might otherwise hover dangerously near.
Patience, steadiness, and obedience are focused on throughout the session.
Here are a few photo's of TRAD and REV during the session.
Cheers,

Two really handsome dogs. How can you not like those looks? I know our field dogs don't make the conformation grade, but d@mn, I like think those two dogs are top of the heap in handsome.
We worked on blinds today as well. Good news, she stops like a champ and takes a pretty good cast. Bad news... I give the wrong casts and she goes to pile #3 twice. Uh, oh. Walk of shame time for handler, putting the extra bumper back.
Got any advice on getting a nice angled entry?

Beautiful looking pair!
Glad you had a nice day to work instead of the horrid heat and humidity.
