how to kill grass weeds in my rock bed

gotten a bit of rain in the desert here and my backyard rock beds have some weeds/grass growing throught the heavy black cloth underneath the crushed colored rock. I usually hire some kids to pick the weeds but they off to school/too lazy nowadays to work I guess and my back just says no. wife and I are against any chemicals in backyard due to chili. any ideas on killing some weeds safely w/out hurting chilli? I tried boiling water once but that took forever....

Hot. Strong solution of cheap, white vinegar and water. Or even cold.

I too have tried vinegar. Make sure it only gets in the spots you want to kill and it does in everything.

Agree with everyone else. Vinegar, dish soap and salt. Works especially well on grass.

I could mail some of Oban's pee to you. If Chili's doesn't work.

Boiling water didn't work? Works for me but I do be have to careful not to get it on anything I want to live.
