    I don't think so, Sprockette...

Since the kids have been on summer vacation, they have been feeding the dogs in the morning before I'm awake. Usually, if Sprockette hasn't been fed, she is laying at my bedroom door whining. Recently, she has decided to see how many breakfasts she can get. Her technique is after the boys have fed her, to whine at my door and act as if no one has fed her yet. What she doesn't know is that I can hear the boys dump the food into her dish, so I know she's had breakfast. I am not fooled by her performance. No second breakfast for you, dog!

That's a lab for sure. My DH has been fooled on more than one occasion when he comes home from work. Luna's soulful eyes are so convincing that he was just sure she hadn't had dinner . . . and of course fed her again.

Makes me laugh. With Mardi and Archie they have tried all sorts of tricks to convince one of us that the other has not fed them. Mardi's the worse.

Kimber loves second breakfasts! She and Sprockette probably compare notes.

You're describing my dogs when I work days, and don't get home until close to 7 p.m. If the DH fed them, he has to tell me so, or I get the "Mama's home! Mama's home! Now we can eat, we're starving so badly!" routine. I don't get a hello, I get a "I fed them."

Kain does this all the time. He gives hungry eyes, like he's starving and been out with no food. Little does he know that I know he already ate.

Divide and conquer. Our dogs do this with us all of the time. I leave post it notes for my husband and they think he's psychic.

Mine only eats if hungry. I don't see the "typical" lab behaviors with food. He likes his food but will always walk away when full. He is very.Happy and healthy.

Oh I am guilty of sometimes believing the earnest and heart-wrenching look of a lab that needs more food!!

The big brown eyes definitely put a spell on me and a little more is sometimes given!!! However, I factor in this occurring so adjust the meal size anticipating "extra" will be needed.

Gotta love a lab for trying
