LOL congrats! Sounds like a nice time anyway :*)
Took Archie to a little local Canada Day event yesterday where there was a "just for fun" dog show. I decided to enter him into the "longest stay" competition. He has a pretty solid stay, and we've been practicing in lots of places.
Well, we won - for the shortest stay!
We were in a ring, surrounded by kids sitting in the grass, about 20 dogs, and a game of ultimate frisbee happening within sight. He was actually pretty good, but just so distracted and so HOT that he got out of his stay fairly quickly. I just couldn't get him to focus on me.
So, we did a little practicing, wandered around, got an ice cream cone, and went home. I was impressed with his manners in such a huge crowd, but the stay just wasn't happening. Oh well! We had fun and will try again some other time.
Here are some pics from the very very warm day.

He just had a different goal than you did.....
Cute photos and it sounds like a lot of fun. I can't even begin to imagine having Luna in a "longest stay" competition. With all those exciting distractions, I'd be lucky to get her to sit let alone stay.
LOL, well at least he won something.
cute! ah well....they always seem to come up with something. hey, at least it was a good time out, and a good experience for him with all those people and the activities going on.
What's really counts is that you both had fun
A stay is just a stay and the most important thing is that you had a blast. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
