Oh I have moments like this where it seems recall has just disappeared forever!
Sending good thoughts for a quick recovery.
This boy has it in for me. Let him out this morning only to hear the little yappers next door. They were on their side yard, which is our back yard. The garden is back there, fenced off, so he could not get up to the yard dividing fence. The yappers will not shut up if they see him and I don't want him obsessing about them. I go out, in bathrobe and slippers and call him. He gets half way to me and takes off after some flying bug. I call again, he ignores me. Finally he comes up to the lower deck and I place my hand on the side of his shoulder to get him to go up the ramp to go inside. Nope, he does a quick turn, I follow. Around the deck, I catch my toe on the corner of the deck and go flying. Know my butt was flying higher than my head. Geez, hope the neighbors were not looking. Of course, now he comes running up to give a me a face wash. This time when I told him to go in the house, he hightailed it in. Mardi was on the upper deck and I swear she was laughing. A couple of bruises and a very sore toe.
Of course, I was in a hurry to get ready to go to a local pet store to get him a new toy; had a super coupon.
Recall review class is now in session.

Oh no! I hope you're OK. It's nice that he apologized.
Oh Archie! Hope, you arent to sore
Ouch, hope your toe feels better, and the neighbors didn't see the tumble. I guess that bug was just way too interesting for Archie to make "recall" disappear.
