    What is this flower?

This came up on my property in a few places this year. It looks like a wildflower. I kind of like it. Does anyone know what it is?

Looks similar to Black-eyed Susans but the flower petals seem a bit sparse. The center seems similar.

It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I did take the pic after a storm so maybe they are black eyed susans, just a little compromised.

I agree. I think it is a variety of rudbeckia.

Don't know if it will grow as tall as this one, but the flowers are similar:

Weed or not, it is very pretty. I love wildflowers, even those that would be considered weeds by many.

A weed is just the thing you don't want growing in the place it's growing. I'm putting together a wildflower garden over the septic and this seems like a good addition.
