Hi everyone! This is my first time writing here. I adopted a lab mix in December. He is 14 months. This summer has been really hot for him. He has been shedding a lot, but now he has a rash plus he is loosing his hair in this area. I believe that the rash is itchy. An the beginning, I though that the rash was because of the easy walk leash scratched him, but I'm not using the leash anymore and it is not getting better. Can someone please help me! This is my first dog, I'm going to take him to the get next week, but I would like to know if this is normal.

Agree with Maxx&Emma, that should be looked at to make sure there is not a skin infection going on.

It is not normal. Could be caused by many different things--food, something in the environment, etc. Your vet will know.
