Taking your dog to Home Depot...

Anybody run into problems with Home Depot? I want to get Mozzie use to different environments. He is reactive. My trainer and I both feel he lacks confidence so I want to get him out to build him up. My local Home Depot said it would be ok to bring him because everybody does anyway. Just curious if anybody has run into any problems. Also any suggestions on where to take him?

Lots of people on here have been okay taking their dogs into Lowe's or Home Depot. Here, they enforce the "service dogs only" signs that are on the front doors. If you have a Cabella's, they allow dogs. When Kimber was a wee pup I used to take her to strip malls and just walk the sidewalks with her, having her greet people.

I never thought about a strip mall. That is a great idea. No Cabella's here. I love that store!

Opie goes into lowes and HD both with me. The employees there in both places always pet him and love talk to him, never had a problem. Home Depot doesn't allow dogs?

We are lucky to live in a pet friendly town. Mocha has been in the Jacks Pets, Petsmart, PetsCo, Lowes, Home Depot, Rural King(think tractor parts) and our home town pharmacy. We have seen smaller dogs in Hobby Lobby but with a lab tail We'd be afraid of the damage!
The strip mall is a great idea!

Great idea! There are several of those within a 45-60 minutes from us. Would be a great family outing!

Daisy's been to Home Depot, Lowes, aquarium stores, and the bank. The tellers at the bank always beg us to bring her and they always have treats waiting.

We've been to home depot as well. If you have a tjmax or homegood store near you the ones here allow dogs.
