    So frustrated. A vent.

I just want to start off by saying I have a solution. This was supposed to be done though.

Our neighbors hired someone to farm their property just before we moved here. They neglected to tell my mother in law that they had also asked the guy to farm part of her property which we took over almost ten years ago as well. Lots of actions and communications later, most of which occurred while my mother in law was dying, we thought we had this resolved. I was even starting to relax.

Then today, I took pictures as their guy deliberately mowed over our property stakes while he hayed their field. The same guy hays the boarding school fields on the other side of our property so I went out back on that side and all of our property stakes and signs had been removed.

So I planted a tree in the middle of the access road and hung a No Trespassing sign on it. Sure, he'll remove that too but I feel a little better.

I hope my attorney isn't on vacation.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

He came back today and raked the hay. I haven't checked the tree but there's no way he could have gotten through with it there. Right after he finished, we had a thunderstorm so violent that they issued a tornado watch. We got an inch in fifteen minutes. So after all of that, the hay is most likely ruined. It's just a soggy mess down there.

The good news is our attorney is in town! Yay!

So . . . there was my tree. Propped it back up. He had mostly filled in the hole and I didn't have my shovel. The mosquitoes were eating me alive as well.

    Now those are black-eyed susans.
