    Bella's training update

Things are going very well with Bella the standard poodle. She has super amounts of energy and was extremely reactive when I started with them. The wife has dog anxiety and that has taken more work than training and that is how it goes sometimes. At this point I am still working on her reassurance the owner not the dog. The owners have been very happy and have referred me to several people already.

It has been great helping them but I can say it is no where near as rewarding as training service dogs. I will help people wherever I can. I give it away 99% of the time it just makes me feel good to know when training a service dog I am giving a piece of life back to that dogs handler.

Anyway I really appreciate you guys.

It's so great of you to help other dog owners. Some are so clueless. Even today when I think I know a lot, another's eye and viewpoint is extremely helpful.

I thought Bella was meant to be a service dog?

No she is a pet and gladly so. It was an interesting shift for me because I am so used to working with potential service dogs. When working in that area it is the handlers that really need a lot of encouragement. One thing I try and remind handlers. is that they are living breathing dogs and they too have their days. The bond between handler and dog is incredible to watch grow.
