I have the opportunity (unpaid) to write a few blog pieces for a dog website and my topic is on senior dogs. I am expected to write more of "how-to" style articles and not just narrative ones. My question to all of you is what types of articles are you most interested in reading about?
I would write about dogs with cancer and raw food diets. The best dog on the planet (in my eyes); my Moby) had a spindle cell sarcoma and a mast cell tumor removed in April. Mast cell margins are clean - spindle cell margins not entirely clean as it was on his front leg. Moby is 13 in September and looks fantastic. He will still walk three miles with me daily even though he is slowing down and I know that the raw food that I make - in combination with high quality grain free food in the evening has really helped him.
You might also want to talk about the effects of older dogs who have a limb removed due to cancer. (We refused to let them do that - but is was a recommendation and now he is perfectly fine and the spindle cell sarcoma did not return as of yet.
