Has your signature changed over the years?

Mine has changed over the last 7 - 10 years. I think it's from muscle atrophy due the lack of having to write very much any more. My hand seems to have gotten lazy and I skip a few letters in my last name. It feels like my hand works differently now from always being on a keyboard.

Got the same problem - write, when I have to, everything in CAPS and my signature is getting closer and closer to a sidewinder's trail. Really safe, impossible to imitate, unfortunately even for me, so going to the bank without an ID is not an option

Yes. I've got arthritis pretty bad in my thumb, and it's actually pretty painful to write. I usually make DW do all the writing.

Definitely! I work in schools, part-time, and only during the school year. When I'm working I have to write a lot by hand and my handwriting gets pretty good and increasingly legible if I'm working several days a week. After I'm off for the summer, or if I haven't worked much lately, my fine motor skills definitely suffer! It's like my fingers become dyslexic- I skip letters or segments of letters, I don't write as small, and I have to do a fair amount of correcting. It's very noticeable to me.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I write very little. Everything looks like chicken scratch.

I just flat out changed my signature a few years ago because I decided I didn't like my old one.

On a side note, I've been known to sign electronic signature pads with just a smiley face.

I am not a fan of the electronic signature pads. All those cursive exercises in school gone to waste. LOL However, when I do sign my name on an actual piece of paper I have changed it...

Likewise. Now it's a scribble that, like MileLynn, even I can't duplicate.
