    Israel invades Gaza.
    IDF starts Gaza ground offensive | JPost | Israel News

    And passenger plane get shot down by unknown terrorist group.
    Malaysia Airlines flight shot down with 295 souls aborad

    Not the best day ever!
    Now all we need is Russia to invade Ukraine and North Korea to do something stupid and we might have WWIII on the horizon.

    I'm having a really hard time watching the news anymore. The Iraq situation is just horrible as well.

    I have been on news hiatus for a while. I cruise the news web sites for headlines daily but I can't sit and watch the "news". DW & I thank each other for our boring, crisis free lives. We love our little piece of heaven in the country.

    I began a news diet years ago and very rarely watch TV. It helps to have only one watchable TV station. I read a lot of online news, mostly a few sources, adding in other sites for variety, verification, and fact cross-checking.
