7 year old: teeth keep fracturing!!! HELP

My girl has fractured/comppletly snapped off 3 teeth in the last 5 months. They are all lower premolars, and one was an incisor. She also pulled one out, root and all, 2 years ago wrestling a stick (log).

She has no gum disease, and she gets fed a grain free/ raw diet.

She is in wonderful shape, not overweight, no health issues.

This winter, she fractured 2 teeth a month of each other, and I had to have them both extracted. I chalked this up to chewing in frozen sticks (you know the lab-brain right?)

However, today, she was swimming, and was using a soft light-house retrieving toy. She came out of the water missing ANOTHER premolar (bottom). I stuck my finger in the hole, and there is shard of tooth left- meaning yet another surgery.

What am I doing wrong with my girl? Is she deficient maybe? Or is this normal with aging dogs (she's 7 next month).

I am so concerned Bella will have no lower teeth soon….

Wow! I have never had that happen. Hopefully someone can help you with this, I wish I could tell you something. What does your vet say?

My vet has 3 labs himself- but he has never seen a dog in such good health losing so many teeth! I'm going to have a conversation with him when we go in for surgery in June.

I'll attempt to attach a picture of her tooth she broke today.

I'd get a referral to a board certified dentist to get some dental xrays done, see what's going on

Genetics? This is strange. I agree, time for a doggie dentist.

I attempted to upload a photo of her tooth earlier, but the website wouldn't…unsure if it's to do with my iMac.

Amyhow, I can't get her in to the vets until the first week in June.

Teeth extraction is just under $300…this will be the 3rd time bringing her in… I don't know if I can afford a dental specialist as its typically 1500-2500 in my area. I live in the greater Toronto area

p.s. I don't know if I need surgery- the tooth is gone but I'm unsure if the root is still in there. Vet will likely do an x ray to see if there are pieces that need removal.

I understand a specialist is expensive but this is not normal over the years and her only being 7 years old. I would find a good canine dentist for answers. This would concern me.
