    Things you should not do.

Do not ask your dental hygienist to put a rush job on your cleaning. I don't care what the emergency is. Just cancel instead. Holy cow but my tooth hurts now and it didn't when I went in. I hope she just stabbed me. And on top of all that, the contractor didn't show up after all.

How aggravating about the contractor! I had one overly enthusiastic hygienist before the one who currently does my teeth. I'd walk out with the most tender mouth from her digging around. I usually felt better the next day but I had to ask her to ease up some. She is now teaching other hygienists- watch out!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

I can't go to the dentist without being doped up on Valium. I have to get so sedated, I can't drive the day before or after... I also can't get Novacaine because I'll have panic attacks that I can't feel my mouth.

I use Pronamel and avoid the dentist as much as possible.

You don't understand that contractors are very busy. You need to realize that you're just the one PAYING, you don't get a vote on getting anything, anyway you may want!!

If she was your regular hygienist and she's normally got a good touch, consider it your "fault" and don't do that again.

If she was new, she may just be too rough. Bob fired a new hygienist many years ago because she was just too rough....got a lot of complaints from patients.

Years ago had a hygienist who was so rough my gums were sore for days. Never went there again. Told the dentist and he did not think it was such a big deal. Well, I did.
