    Food brand recommendations

Hey y'all. Currently Parker is on Blue buffalo chicken and rice adult large dog food. I am thinking of switching. He has very thin hair on his chest and belly to the point I can see his skin. It is not irritated just lack of fur. I was hoping that there is a food to help with this. Also he sorta has a sensitive stomach at times. I just want a high quality food that will be good and healthy for my dog.

How long has he been on Blue Buffalo?

    How old is he?

My Max had a hard time with Blue, he had mushy poop for two big bags.

Personally I am a big fan of Pro Plan, works well for our pups.

Parker is 16 months. He started off with taste of the wild which did not agree with his belly and he would have loose poops as a baby. I think around 3.5-4 months is when we started on blue.

Loose poops can be due to over feeding. Also could be simply upsetting the digestive system.

As for the bare skin and / or thin fur if a mix breed it could simply be the breed. My black lab mix has very little fur on his belly.

    fromm, never a recall.
    farmina, from italy.

    but you may be overfeeding.(poops)
thin hair may be related to allergies-try no grain, single protein.

I'm definitely not over feeding him. He was getting 3 cups a day. (1.5 each meal) I just reduced it to 1 because he is not finishing his food. By sensitive stomach I meant that if he eats something he isn't used to he would have loose poops. Perhaps I'll stay with blue but get the grain free kind

I'm actual considering Origen. Does anyone have anything good to say about this brand?

Orijen is great, but is REALLY rich food. Luna had soft serve poops on it. She does really well on grain free Nutrisource. She did well on Blue Buffalo Wilderness which is their grain-free line, but we wanted to switch to a smaller company. Fromm is great also. A lot of people on this board feed Pro Plan with great results.
