Sounds to me like a very tired boy, at least I hope that is all it is! Good thoughts and prayers coming your way!
While we were going back home from our evening walk, I noticed that Cookie appeared tired and not himself. When we got home, he went to sleep immediately. I called him for dinner after half an hour, but he turned his nose on it. Uh oh. He doesn't do that, unless he is sick.
He doesn't appear to have a fever, nose is cold and wet, he pooped normally. He just appears very tired. We had a very active weekend.
Nonetheless I am worried and if he doesn't feel better tomorrow we are going to the vet. Please send some good thoughts, worried mom here.

Agree with brownietrout, it does sound like a very tired pup, especially considering he's no youngster anymore Understand you're worried as I'm afraid I've become a canine hypochondriac - don't care that much about myself, but anytime there's something going on, or at least I feel there might be something going on, with my girls, I get pretty scared. Sending a lot of good thoughts, hoping Cookie just needs a decent rest and he's back to his old self in no time. Fingers crossed. M&M

Poor Cookie, I hope he feels better real soon.

Hope it's nothing. But to check for temperature you really need a rectal thermometer. His temperature would give your Vet an extra clue, that I hope you don't need.

A bushel of good thoughts coming your way. Let's just hope he's tired, and he'll be fine, and back to himself.

Good thoughts to you and Cookie. Let us know what the vet says.

The not eating would worry me as well.
Have you taken his temp? Like with a thermometer? That might tell you a lot right there.
Did you check him over really, really good for ticks, hotspots, cuts, or thorns? With these big furry creatures sometimes they have something going on that we can't see or feel really well. One of mine acts like he is going to die when he gets a hotspot and often I don't even know he has one! I had another Lab who got bit by another do at doggie daycare and had a cut on the back of his neck that needed stitches. No one knew and I would have never known but I felt some dried stuff on his coat (he was black) and decided to brush it out with a wire brush and he did not like that, so I felt around and sure enough, it was a bloody bite.
I would feel him on the skin, brush him, feel between his toes, etc. as well as take his temp.
