    Gauge hurt himself

Gauge hurt his back leg I'm hoping he just sprained it wrestling with his girlfriend Claire and it's not a cruciate tear. Gave him an anti-inflammatory to see if it will help. He is putting weight on but then will limp he's nit holding it up anymore. I'll give it another day if nit better will make appt wi th the vet to have it checked.

Hoping for just a strained muscle. Good thoughts for Gauge.

Hope it's just a tweak....we get them from time to time.

We have a momentary "leg up" with Danny every few months....same leg.....I massage and he's good to go. Vet manipulated entire back end during his annual last month and got no reaction to anything and, considering the infrequency, isn't concerned.

Gauge may have just tweaked a bit harder or didn't stop doing what hurt when it first caused a bit of pain. Dan stops on a dime and squeaks at the first moment of pain.

Hope it's not serious. I had something similar with a previous dog (he was trying to get a squirrel). Didn't go away so I took him in. Vet found nothing, felt it was soft tissue injury. Took six months to completely clear but that was the end of it forever. No re-occurrences. Hopefully yours won't take so long to clear.
